Pembina Report on Ontario's Energy Plan
Sure to be discarded faster than a pair of Harper-brand assless chaps, a report that was released today by the Pembina Institute for Appropriate Development sharply criticizes Ontario's Energy Plan. The report states that Ontario could save up to 40% more energy costs by moving to more sustainable alternatives, but the province does not seem interested in pursuing new ways of generating power. There's a lot of other interesting points, listed in the link below, with a link to download the whole report at the bottom of the page.
P.S. There was a magazine article a year or two ago that talked about why Ontario is locked into a financial vicious circle and needs to spend billions on refurbishing our reactors to actually STOP losing money. If anyone has it, please email.
