Rock Star reality to claim another?

A few months ago I posted a story about the stupid show Rock Star: INXS. I pointed out the fact that the use of the ":" suggested that there would be more Rock Star series attempting to resusitate old burned out artists. The first, and still possible candidate was Van Halen - after their disasterous world tour that left the band at each other's throats, and Sammy Haggar driving much more than 55 away from the band.

Today, I have learned of another candidate for the Rock Star crapfest. Believe it or not, the name actually being tossed around is Alice in Chains (*shutter). Seems having your singer die of a drug overdose nearly four years ago, and not having a charting single since 1996 doesn't deter these aging rockers. Stay tuned, and pray.
