Talk about a flawed bit of logic. From the Ottawa Post today:
The University of Ottawa is considering cutting more than 100 courses in arts, humanities, languages and literature.
Part time professors, hired after an enrolment increase of more than 6,000 students, teach most of the affected courses. Those recently hired would be most likely to loose their jobs.
So, if you cut the profs that were hired to teach the 6,000 new students, WHO WILL TEACH THE 6,000 NEW STUDENTS?! But make sure the grey-haired old farts that continue to cobweb up the halls of our schools by not retiring are safe and secure. Forget the profs of tomorrow. We don't need 'em.
