TTC, I just don't get it.

You're broke. You're so broke you need to threaten a strike over $600. Replace old buses? Yeah right. Build an extension on the subway to York University? Surely you jest. New streetcars? Fugettaboutit.

So what do you do? Why, the opposite of making money you say? What a grand idea!

Heck, I think being able to share a metro pass with someone is a wonderful idea. Working families with different shifts will only now have to pick up one pass instead of two. But the two-facedness of the TTC just leaves me stunned. Am I being ridiculous in thinking cutting Metro pass revenues by %50 in most households may not be the financial answer they are looking for? It was barely two weeks ago they were screaming for a few lousy dollars.
