Streetcar's are important

This is just stupid to me.  What this city needs, and I mean really needs, is effective and regular public transportation.  I haven’t made it to work on time this week because of train delays, people delays, Tom DeLays… oh wait.  And then, to hear that a bunch of businesses on St. Clair managed to stop a $65M project that would establish a right of way lane for streetcars?  Give your head a shake Toronto.

Public transit is the ONLY way this city continues to function, and as time passes it will only become more and more critical to extend the existing arteries outward.  Handicapping those arteries become some textile store wants more drive-up business is just stupid.  I agree with the U of T professor who commented this is just more reason the city needs a new Act to take control of these types of issues.
