Christopher Hume is an idiot. Harper appointed the trio of former Harris ministers because they have cabinet experience - something the party is sorely lacking after 13 years in politcal exile.
Harper wants Toronto as bad as any party; his frequent campaign stops in the GTA are proof of that. Although I wouldn't defend Clement's record in T.O., lets remember the Chretien Liberals cut transfers to Ontario much more deeply than Harris did to Toronto.
