Losses to file sharing greatly exaggerated

Here's another one for the "yeah-right" file. The Canadian music industry claims illegal downloads costs them over $450 million dollars every year. This wouldn't be so laughable if :

a) They had picked a figure anyone with a brain would believe; and
b) Nobody had every heard of an iPod

I don't think there is $450 million dollars invested in Canadian music, period. Forget sales. Anyways, this article links to a great pieces of work by a U. Ottawa Professor...
